FINISHED 1:4.8 / 24" model of D0G from Half Life 2 (WIP pics inside)

Hi there!

I just finished up my degree in modelmaking, design and digital effects and I wanted to share my final project with you!
I never thought of posting WIP pics on here while I was making him but there's a few below as well as finished images, I have a over 200 at this stage I think so if there's a specific part you want to know about just ask and I'll post them. If people are interested I could also do a brief write-up (there is a summary on my site 3C Creations | By Clare) and I can answer any questions people have about making him on here.

Wow. I've never actually played half life 2 but that looks fantastic. I'm about to start my 1st year on a model making and design course and seeing this has got me all hyped up. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers! Hope you enjoy your course =) If you have time this week New Blades is on in London on the 14th, you should pop in to see what graduating years around the UK have done! Assuming you're still in Wales or nearby ofc. I did my course in Dublin but I'm traveling over with one of my smaller projects for the show.

HL2 is one of my favorite 1st person shooters of all time. Excellent job on D0G!

Any plans on creating other characters/machines from the game? Perhaps one of the spindly legged walkers?

Perhaps, I'd like to try something full scale, perhaps one of the security bots that DOGs face-plates come from, I really love that shape! I also considered a strider (the spindly legged walkers) and if i was to make one to match D0Gs scale it'd be 8ft.... that's a lot of silicone! But maybe i'll make it a little smaller =)

Spent many hours playing that game and you did a excellent job on Dog, great detailing.

"Strider"! Yes, I remember now.

The security bot would be very cool in 1:1 scale, especially if you can get it to flash that light and make that clicking sound.

Yeah I really wanna try get into animations, and motion detectors, they annoy me so much lol I wanna figure them out once and for all and put them into something cool =)
