custom 1/32 harrier pilot
Been working on Trumpeter's 1/32 scale AV-8B Harrier but I decided it needed a pilot:
2 1/4 inches tall: ![]() The head was scanned from a 1/3rd scale sculpt. Clothing was built in 3D using a Korean program called "Marvelous Designer" after significant custom tailoring to fit Arnie's body. And he was CNC milled in 6 pieces from acrylic. some progress pics of the rest of the build here: Trumpeter's long awaited 1/32 harrier kit I'll try to match the paint scheme and markings of the full size mockup built for the movie which is actually pretty close to the real thing. Found one pic of VMA-223 WP-16 taken in 1993 Photos: McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net and cinefex #59 has a lot of pics of the mock-up. The real plane has since been repainted in a camo scheme, then rebuilt as a Harrier II+. The other Harrier used in the film (WP-03) crashed in 1996
