Hi everyone, I was wondering if it is possible to chrome a pair of sunglasses without ruining them. Meaning, can you chrome them and still be able to change lenses and bend the arms? Thanks for your help

Sorry, no you can not. If you are talking about true chroming, copper, nickle, chrome, the metal is brittle and will fracture and it will end up peeling off. When they paint automotive bumpers, they add a flex additive to the paint so it will bend with the plastic.

    Hope this helps!

I do mean true chroming, but I thought that maybe if you take them apart as much as possible and chrome individual parts, that when you clean it up and reassemble it, it'd be fine. Is that not right?

Individual parts can be plated and then assembled, similar to this:
