And then cover the underside of the aft bulge with kit parts of a fuel tank.
I'm going to need some putty and sanding job for that.
I think the under side of this star ship is one of the parts I want to get it look good.
Your comment and questions are always welcomed.
Thank you for looking.
I hope all of you are well for this hot days. Take care, gentlemen.

Hi!! Tom-san
I've been attending to some house keeping things last week.
House yard had been like a jungle of the central America or something.
Yesterday, I managed to have some time to build and maybe today too.
So I will put up a few photos of the progress soon.
Now I'm working on the detailing for the tail section.
Thanks
Here are some progress.
Go on building the stern section.
I thought I want something looks like some support structure here.
These are the parts of Tamiya 4WD racer.
Oops! Tamiya logo.
A few more detail work needed.
Thank for looking
I don't get on the modeling forum much, but I have to say that this build is very impressive. Makes me feel like my Gundam builds are junk ! lol
Thanks for looking Tom-san !!
weaselhammer-san ! Thank you very much for looking!!
That last piece looks great. Looks like it was designed for that specific spot. Great work!
Thank you very much, Dart-san!
Here are some updates and this section will be finished soon.
Thanks for looking.
Hey Katsu once again I have to say that your detailing and especially the methods you use are very creative and just look great! I am so impressed by this model
Sorry if I missed that page, but how did you build the six big engines? These really look so cool especially when lit up and with the reflector pattern...
And to the fibre optics you used from the beginning on: How do they have different colors? Do the fibres have different colors? I cant imagine using different coloured light sources for every fibre :P Or is it just the camera that makes them shine in a different color?
...And the Tamiya logo looks good on it! :P
regards
Tom
Thanks for looking, Tom-san!
I'm so glad that you are interested in my work and thanks for asking.
The parts for the engine I used were LED reflector. I bought it at the electrical parts supplier through the internet. I bought 20 pieces for 1200yen(16 dollar). I'm not sure but it's usually used as a custom parts for car/motorcycle rear lights.

Then I've just put the strips of sheet plastic around the reflector.
And about the coloring for the optic fiber.
I made a small casing for LED bulb. It has a reflector and half inch diameter lens on the nose. I used the small flash light for the key ring I bought at the local one coin shop.
I painted many dots on the surface of the lens randomly with the transparent paint of yellow, red and amber with a thin brush.
Then I stick a bunch of the optics fiber in there.
I can't control the distribution of each color (which color will go where) but I thought it's OK at this time.
Thanks
katsu
Looking awesome! Sorry I haven't posted in a while... I am doing a lot of research for a 1:1 storm-trooper armor and helmet build. I love all the progress and your imagination is fantastic! I am enjoying this build. ( I saw you are following the BETTY build... There are a lot of great modelers here... I am honored to be able to watch you both.)
Thanks for dropping by Cadeus-san
Making the storm troopers armor is the one ambitious project I guess.
I can't wait for your progress posted. Have a good building my friend!!

Thank you for the fast reply Katsu!
Those reflectors are really a great find!
And coloring the lights source so to say is once again a great idea you had
You could even make different colored lenses and exchange them for a totally different atmosphere. Or you could make it rotate slowly so the colours of the ship's "windows" slightly change colors...
Once again I really admire your work.
Tom
You are welcome, Tom-san!
Here are some updates.
Making underside.
Thanks for looking!

Little progress
Here's a spray glue and a transparent sheet (for old over head projector which I snatched from my office)
Spray on to make a sticky sheet.
Deep scored plates
Placed the scored plates on the grue sheet.
Put another layer over on the lower plates to fasten them together.
Added some bits.
And the primer sprayed.
First paint in silver gray
And spray thin silver.
Test fitting on the hull.
How does it look to you?
Any comment will be appreciated.
Thanks for looking.
Katsu-san,
Another very creative addition. Excellent job as usual.
Katsu-san, you are a wizard! Very cool. I like how you used the ends of the zip ties. Very cool.
Thank you very much for looking, Randy13-san, Dart-san.
Very funny story but in fact, I dreamed a dream of this part of the work a few days ago.
I built this in the dream and when I woke up, I thought it might work for real.

I just love the way each part of the ship has multiple layers! So much deep detail!
