Whats the true situation with the hull/body?
Keith.
Keith,
The true situation with the hulls is that i managed to pull three hulls from the mold before ripping the silicone nose to pieces. I was too busy getting the body into silicone and didn't realize i should have kept the headlight bay as a seperate piece. The headlight bay has been redone. Still have to tweak the surrounding section on the body. It's kinda embarassing, as that's a really stupid (and expensive) mistake.
Anyho..
Update..
The two boxes on the rear, next to the taillights. They are similar, but not identical.
Here's the machined pieces that make up both boxpatterns (sorry, doesn't look very spectacular). In the kit these will be solid resin pieces, with a seperate styrene strip for the handle (on top of the box). Still missing the clamps on each side, and the straps that fix the boxes on the hull.
More on saturday.
Cheers,
Wasili

Details on this are stunning. Fantastic skills.
Thanx Nazgul....
Update..
I finished the boxes and have them in silicone.
Redid the axle pivots (bit adhoc, i know). Not really interesting to look at, but a part nonetheless. I'm now at Version3 for them. The pic (below) shows V1 at the back (too tall), and V3 at the front (new, short, thicker backbone). V2 was ripped to shreds when i used a new doublesided tape when placing the part in the moldbox.
The axlepivots are placed from within the frame, and supported on the inside to make sure the whole thing doesn't sag. The 'backbone' is therefore not visible. Only the circular ends are.
I made one mold, and just now poured the second one.
More next saturday.

Wasili

I would really like to see a quick photo of one of the three hull castings.
Keith.
Brilliant work Wasili!!!!!
I dun mind to take a long time to see you this Master pcs!!
I could fully understanding your situation, its really not easy to build
kit with styrene into small parts, so the only way is step by step and
finish it!! No worry theres so many members are supporting the great

Update.
Here's the exhaust, positioned on the rear, directly above the taillights. There's one on each side, and they're identical. I only had side and 3/4 views, until Willie Goldman provided an excellent rear shot. Thanx very much Willie
It's a small part, so had to beef up the thicknesses up to 0.4 - 0.5mm thick minimum.
Beware, this is a 3d rendering, not the physical piece. I have machined the front and back, and made the cad files for all the pieces in between.
More next saturday.

Wasili

Wasili, any word on my refund? I've not had a reply from you about it.
Keith.
next pic up tonight
cheers,
wasili
Can't wait to see more pics, mate!
Mike
Update:
Here's the latest and final revision of the canisters on the rear deck. Beware, this is a 3d rendering. The diameter of the canister is a little over 10mm, so it's not a very big (or exciting) piece. The detailing is as close as it gets.
The two 0.25mm thick straps will be machined from styrene, the rest is going to be a single resin casting.
More this weekend.
Cheers,
Wasili
