1/24 scale VF-1 valkyrie

Thanks everyone....Test build underway. This is really the first time i have been able to see it almost all together. Legs are still dipping down a bit because they are not glued in. pic with a 1/48 kit to show off the size...lots of little paint touch ups will be done, i am doing this at break neck speed...

Thanks, one more revision to go on the canopy, but it will be cast in clear with the frame attached, you will need to mask and paint the frame. I was not sure that was the way i wanted to do it, but the frame is too fragile to cast alone IMO, at least in keeping with the scale. The 1/48 club m had a separate frame from the window, but it was big and bulky...I am trying to keep the streamlined frame....
thanks

Reminds me of something i had as a kid... found a peice of the wing a few weeks ago, poor thing

That is INCREDIBLE WORK Mike! Man, is that going to look good with your other Macross builds including that 1/2000 SDF-1 you bought. Big congrats on that buddy!

Wow and I thought the 1/48 was big. So no Max colors. VF-1S with Roy colors is still cool. I'm going to hang my 1/60 version with Roy colors from the ceiling eventually.

As many here will know I have been watching this at MacrossWorld too :). Came here after a search for one of my other loves (The Black Hole). Just happened to see the words Macross and 1/24, I just knew who it was :)

What's your handle on macrossworld? Mines the same as here.

Long time without an update but i am getting closer to finishing up the test build...hope to bring this to WF...
thanks

Awesome progress. Is "WF" WonderFestival in Japan?

I need to join MacrossWorld one of these days. I still check the forum every month or so...

Up to about 95% done, gunpod and head lasers attached, but hard to see in these pics. Taking these pics was a bit of a test shot to see how it would look with the lighting/backround set up here...I kind of stink at pic taking and need some practice...Still needs a few odds and ends, especially the clear parts that go on the wing. Some stuff is still not glued down yet, like the tailwings, i will glue those in place after i transport it back and forth from WF, then they can be secured in the proper position, right now they are a bit wonky. Pic with soda can for sizing..
thanks

Freaking fantastic! What an awesome build. I can't wait to get this in the collection. I can't thank you enough for bringing such amazing pieces to the masses. It is a work of art.

Hey Mike, I know I contacted you before about this piece, but are the kits still available?

I'm closing up the casting shop in about 5 or 6 weeks for the winter, I may be able to squeeze one in, PM me for details.
thanks
