1/16th scale Snowspeeder Scratch Build

I am trying to make a copy of the Fine Molds Speeder a bit bigger.
I love the detail on the 1/48th scale offering but it's a little to small!

So here we go.........

I just realized even though I have been staring at the Fine Molds box the kit came in that it's 1/48th scale!!

So my speeder is 1/16th scale not 1/24 I will change the threads name.Probably won't be doing anything kit wise with this scale.

This is a beautiful build. I've been re-working one of the old hasbro ones and I think your route would probably be easier and MUCH more accurate.

I have this fantasy that someday I'll own a 1:6th snowspeeder and a-wing.
Seeing your build gives me hope that someday I'll get off my butt and make it happen.

Are you making this for the figures? If so, I think it's way out of proportion. But it looks very cool.

I have the 4 engine boxes finished in terms of basic shape,
but a lot of work to go on making the grills, air brakes, air brake
lift supports, toe pockets, panel lines, recessed housing for for
air brake supports and detail.

YA those rear boxes are a model
alone!

This is the generator for the laser?

Anyway it"s PVC and evergreen strip and channel. The second stage that sits in front of the channel will
have to be done with clay as it bevels down into 3rd stage.
