    May 10, 2012 - 1/144 Fine Molds Falcon finished #1

    Hello guys.

I just finished my first build in over 20 years. A lighted 1/144 FM Falcon. Took way too long to get completed as I had no idea how to do the lighting. Complete newbie. I learned quite a lot on this build and my second model a fully lighted 1/24 Spinner should go together a little easier and hopefully faster.

Looks like a nice build. I have one of these sitting in a box myself. I think you've inspired me to start that as my next project?

Did you do the lighting yourself from scratch, or was it a kit?

    Thanks Mr Walker,

I did the lighting totally from scratch. Was a challenge since I didn't know what I was doing. Did a lot of watching of tutorials on YouTube and a little ingenuity on my part but I am happy with how it came out. Now that I know how to do lights and fiber my next build will be a lot easier. At least that's the theory.

Thanks Ray22. Bye the way, I just changed one of the photos after I realized that I didn't have a shot of the lighted engines.

The last shot from the back with the engine lit is a great shot! Nice work!

Thanks guys. I tried my hardest to get good pictures of my model but I think it looks far better in person.

Nice build dlbsyst! The lighting is really a nice touch to such a small build.
