What I found very interesting was the fact he did me the same way on a swap a few years ago. Also got the same lame excuse, sorry they didn't work out..
He still owes me and when I tried to contact him I got this: A message that you sent could not be delivered to its recipient. This is a permanent error. The following address failed: "rel@sovereignreplicas.com"
going back and looking at the 1701e he and his wife were building, the videos are locked and the Youtube channel is shut down.
I had only one experience with rel, it was not good, I bought a kit and never got the all the parts and received nothing but lame excuses.
He has troubles taking care of underwriters and buyers of his 2001 kits, which went on sale about that year. Museums and new money get their kits. It's mostly finished models and more complex kits. He keeps plugging away though.
Richard has been building a finished SS snowspeeder for me for the last three years. That happened because he couldn't deliver the tydirium shuttle kit, so I asked if in trade he could build something for me. I'm keeping hope. There is so much energy expended in communication with no resolution.
I had swapped him 4 studio scale shuttles for a kit which he said he could not use. I read a couple of threads where he did build and sell them, so he did lie. He had also told me he at first never got them, LOL. I send all Fed Ex so I had my tracking numbers. As to the shuttle from SW, I know he did some, have a few friends who have them.
Since I have transferred, I only live about 2 hours from his last known address. I now put him in with Mike Miles, who still owes me for a couple of viper kits.
Wow, I haven't read the whole thing yet but Crazy. a lot of stuff makes sense now. I think all you guys need to do your due diligence before you shell out your money. I will gladly show any one my resume of work experience if they want to hire me.. Models I build on here are less than 5 % of what I do,
lets hope this can be avoided in the future, but I doubt it, happened once will happen again.
