Would anybody know what the closest Pantone color would be? I have lots of pics but lighting plays a key factor.
Best advice i can give Mark is to buy a can, shoot it, and see what you think, maybe even photograph it too, but its the closest we have to " imperial blue" unless you go down the specialist route of RAL codes etc like the eFX team.

Isn't it painted the same shade as the regular ANH TIE's?

The Tamiya Haze Grey is great because you can make it look like many shades under different lighting. That's the impression I got from Gene's photos of the real thing. I just wish it was flatter. The Haze Grey is more of a satin w some shine, but with a light coat of flat primer underneath it might not need a dull coat after.
Gene, I don't suppose you're in the paint chip buisness at the moment?
