I like the overspray ! Nice work, argh I need one in my collection !
Thanks Julien. You really should scratchbuild this one soon, you would so nail it!

That's too much work and I'm not sure I would nail the angles :s
The kit looks awesome with a new canopy and some other tweaks !
Yeah great paint job just like the ILMer did...I love seeing your thread Lee,very inspiring, keep on the great job as usual![]()
Too much work???? Hehe, Julien you make me chuckle, you say that, and you have a studio scale Avenger well under your belt, an ATAT of ILM worthyness, and a Probot that just screams AWESOME lol, you have always been too modest buddy.
Maybe contact Mike for a casting, its worth it, and yes, the canopy mod alone makes a difference.
Add in a few scribes i missed and a proper job on the cockpit, yeah, the kit can be made to look almost spot on to the prop.

Matti, Talkierg, thanks you guys.

Very true Simon, Kevin Bacon just doesnt have the right stuff.

wow,i can`t say much more.it`s mint.i only wish i had half your skill!![]()
Cheers Peza! Overall its turning out nice, wish it was cast in white resin though for the chipping i have to do lol.
In any case, its turning out more accurate than the MR paintwork, the ref pics from MR are coming in soooo handy!
Lee
Heya Eric, all good here buddy, good of you to ask.
Yeah, the MR speeder, well, its OK, the paintwork is just so lacklustre though, so much missing, not sure if that was from the master, or the factory translation, as ive not seen the master of late.
I think you should build one too, i know you would do nothing but knock it out the park.

Looks awesome mate
Another one of the projects on my "Wanna Do List" :-)
Cheers Niels, ill get it done for Nov so you can see it, get in touch with Mike maybe and try bag one?

Well, ive been putting this off for far too long, and it turns out this model does have an underside, so i had to paint it i guess.
Had some fun today, ive tried to follow the ref as close as, and strayed a little here and there, seems pretty good, i think my "smoke" coat that i rub into after shooting could have been heavier, but it is there, just a tad more subtle than the prop.
Its given me a lot of confidence in paint this one, feel i can take anything on now, so that Y wing is in for a whoopin.
Anyhoo, should have this one wrapped up next week fingers crossed!

That looks so awesome! The dark tiny splashes look cool.
Thanks Dan. The splashes are just the dark marking paint, thinned even further and shot point blank, the prop is covered with them. One tip is to use NO jet blacks on the model, the darkest ive used is NATO black, which sits nicely on the mix of greys.
I think the only part i may miss on for the RPF prop meet will be the amber visors for the pilots, i have the bucks made to vac, but lets see.

Looks awsome Lee! Very authentic. I wish mine came out this good!

Thanks fellas, means a lot, im loving this painting game right now, just jumping into it, totally changed my approach and its worked out really well.
