You know I said I was think of making 2 of each......NO CHANCE!!!!!

Although this looks simple getting this claw looking anything like the original is a mare and a half.... I still need to tidy it up a bit & add what I think is a Kit part on the top rear (when its found)

I also completely forgot to add the step down on the top section, I aint starting it again though that for sure. Only the top claw moves the lower is fixed in position like the original model.

And Relax!!! Well apart from running out of Primer...

Does anyone know of a frame by frame App for Mac to do stop mo with. If I set up my tri pod & take snaps can you put it into a movie App and make mini Movies???

Guy, when I was playing around ages ago I'd shoot each frame then batch import into windows movie maker.. I think the mac-type equivalent for simple stuff would be FrameByFrame? Final Cut Pro/Express should let you do consecutive frame editing too. If you want to go more serious and have a decent camera that you can go manual with so you don't get exposure/light flickr you can go with something like Dragon Stop Motion which is really good for mac and pc alike, pairs up well to the Canon/Nikon SLR's that have live view. Phil Tippett has been having some fun with a setup like that lately I heard...

I think I'm over my Damper crisis, I've been suffering severe lack of sleep with the new addition to the family but eventually decided on what size tube to use.

I only have Imperial stock so went down that route, every time I wake up this build costs more & more money.

I went from 3/32 for the Brass through to a 4 Piece tube. I've made the mount fixings and put them in rubber to save time, so hopefully my first Damper will be on in the Morning......well tomorrow at some point

The one on the right was test

Cheers Lee, Naaaa I bottled it, its in with the stuff I sent to you today, be carful though as its in the packing on the box, you'll suss it when you get it, I didn't want to re open the packet so put it in another and attached it to the first

I managed to put an offer on a Hood on ebay for £14 and they bit so got it at a good price.

I re made the damper mount that you sent from scratch as it was a little too big for my rods, after an age of Pissssing around trying to round them I cme up with a cunning plan!!!! I cut some styrene tube in half, then glued 400 wet n dry inside one of the halves....Just ran the Damper mount up and down
inside the tube and it worked a treat and took about 30 sec's...after wasting most of the afternoon . I also made the Leg mount from the T strip and put that in the mold today also so I don't have to keep making them. No More Rubber left so lets hope they come out as nice as yours.

I'm determined to get legs one & 2 damperd up tomorrow if its the last thing I do

Its about time we got an update form your good self, Did the TS rattle turn up today??? I'm well keen to see the results?

Ah well mate, nevermind, i know that little strip is delicate, but £14 is a snip for the kit.

Ill have an update soon, going to get some more work done first, but ive been working on the Frigate too, so thats taking time away from the droid, cant help myself, cutting the Stuka wings is time consuming.

Leg 4 is pretty much done though, just need to fit the body mounting stage.
Hoping the TS4 is here in a day or so, want to give it a test shoot .

Half way there, It ended up Quicker to scratch each Damper fixing than make casts from my first, the resin was taking a lot longer to set hard & I was having bubble trouble, so whilst I waited I decided to make em. Saved on Resin too!

Will have the front leg wrapped up tomorrow, its been nice having a break fro making the ankle joints but I still need to make a few, hey ho.

Holy alloy dampers Batman . Very sweet work buddy, hows the throw with them fitted?
Got your package yesterday, great stuff, may have a pop at one damper later, i totally rebuilt leg four yesterday, wasnt happy, wasnt neat enough, so i threw one out, built another, and back on track lol.

Guy if i remember right, you were looking for a U channel, that had an angle in it? Think you said you were sure it was kit, not stock? M16 has a part like that, if were on the same Hymn sheet?

Cheers Lee, It was a faff at first but once you've done one, you get what not to do and what works best. My biggest hassle was drilling the styrene supports, they kept splitting apart. They're made of .060 x .186 strip with a .080 x .186 for the middle section, so they're not quite square.

They work like butter, I can get each leg just shy of straight & 90 degrees if not more, only one of the pins is et in place so I'll remove em to prime. On the 10/4 leg the brass rod hits the knuckle before it goes in the straight position, theres no way around this though with out changing the design.

The U(Kit Part) channel is for the leg with the Karl Lamps, It def tapers down from the knuckle to the karl part, on the pics it looks like a barrel but its just full of glue. Will have a look in the M16 now but I have checked it already, fingers crossed
