Thanks Scott. Yeah the KVII part does have the stubs on the ends left on, pretty weird, and tricky to clean up without knocking them off

I'll look forward to that then.
Lee that looks Killer mate, fancy showing the knuckle joint in depth. I think I get what you've done now, hmmmm?
Wrapped up for the night, well for 10 mins the way its going.
I'm pretty happy so far, I had a disaster earlier when I spilt half a pot of Tamiya thin cement all over the thigh & my bench, what a nightmare that was.

Guy, ill be building the other knuckle today, so ill take pics as i go to give you an idea bud.
lee
Not that far from done on this now. Its been a niggly leg to build, joints were a pain to allign, but turned out pretty good, all seems very true and straight, and it all functions very well.
The pincer joint, i think "should" be Plastruct LF parts, but TBH, i see a ridge on them at the base....making me think thats the wrong part..so i went for Tyrrell rims trimmed down a bit, seems closer to my eye anyway.....others mileage may vary.
Few pics for Guy to show the knuckle progression, hope that helps a little buddy.
Now a few donors to add, and a VERY tricky pincer to build, and i can wrap this one up.
bests......lee

A few school boy errors today but I've stuck with it, I'd glued the top section that joins to the body at a slight angle on the Saturn V ring. It doesn't want to budge so I'm going to stick with it, if I break it free I could destroy it and its only slightly off.
I've also added the magnet like Lee, but hidden them in a box at the top so its sits flush with the body.
And a comparison with the cast part.

Guy that looks great, i like the sunken magnets, wish i could have done that, but my original plan didnt go to....plan. So the twin disc Neo's were a quick save.
Aww, wait till you get to that joint and make it all work, its a buzz
The other leg will test you a bit more bud, the last two stages on mine ended up a bit of a war, and NO room for glue seap around the knuckles as i found out, i killed one joint with a TINY bit of glue seap and had to make another, but it came out good in the end.

Lee, I spent about another 3 hrs trawling through photos online of Flak guns, anything with a trailer, It's def a trailer arm or similar, as I have a few that are close but not the same. It also looks bigger than the usual Flak 30. Its bugging the hell out of me as its such a prominent part on the build.
Guy, its a pig lol, i CANT find it....wahhhhhh. Meh, itll come buddy lol.
Working on that top funky pincer......niiiiice....lol, its an awful part to build, mainly because the patr on the prop, has more hot glue on it than styrene LOL.
lee
Closer now, not far to go. I made the upper pincer, kinda made it my own way i guess, at least from its situ position, cant really tell 100% what is going on with the ILM pincer, so i made it my own,and a better fit imo, its close, and again, articulates perfectly.
Added most the donors now, few to find, lower pincer claw, and then dampers, and were done with this one.
lee
Upper claw.
The eagle eyed will see its a bit different in its mounting, still a part missing, but ill look for that, not 100% on the money, but close enough for me.
Took this pic to show the leg outstreched, mainly, as im super happy its all gone to plan getting it lined up straight.

please can you tell me what type of rectangular structure is used for central and feet, (Plastruct or evergreen, Midwest Products.). thanks

Plastruct tubing bud, sizes seem to be 12mm, 14mm and 16mm. The 14mm tubing was found by Guy in Photoshop, so a few of my leg struts are 2mm too deep, but, its all good.
lee
Thank you very much for the information, follow your progress with great expectation in the model.
please can you tell me which part is this, I find none with these proportions in Plastruct

HI Sergio, you will need.
RT-12
RT-18
RT-20
I COULDN'T OPEN YOUR FILE AS I'M ON A MAC, CAN YOU POST YOUR DRAWING?
Thanks for the info Guy, I have several days going around to this photo, 5 or 6 feet, according to my measurements porcierto the mercury vapor from Plastruct ligths must be 20 millimeters in diameter and can not find it, I'm wrong?.

Yes, Saturn V rocket, not Plastruct LF. The other more angular joints on the legs are from Plastruct though.
