So what happens next? Use this as a master to make a couple of negative molds to give you fiberglass shells? I'm a little fuzzy on the details.

Me too - must be the fumes!
Well, I finish the clean up, add the dents and dings, and then this goes to the shop, to be molded. It'll be rotocast resin.
I aim to have everything ready for molding by Wonderfest, and I'll have the pattern there if you wanna see.

I should have the first set of castings in June with any luck... I'll bust ass to have one done for Jerseyfest in late August!

Looking good and good luck with the transfo, I'm sure this model is going to kick some major behinds...then again, you've no choice since Joe Johnston said that he's looking forward to see it done:D

Right? LOL, no pressure. Lorne said it was cool, too. (gulp)

So I emailed an electronics fella, thinking that I should get the ball rolling on a rig for this model, as we get nearer to completion. The feature set is gonna ROCK.

Oh, Lorne is looking also:eek...yeah, no pressure alright:D May I ask what kind of electronic effects are going to be featured?

With any luck, this is what I'm hoping for:

Blue/white pulsing engine lights
Cockpit control lights
Bright White headlights (I think there were what could have been headlights behind the grills - there are black holes in the one car!)
start up sound
engine driving sound
power down sound

when you start the car, the power up sound - dash lights would spring to life, engines ramp up intensity, flicker maybe
Steady on sounds - dash lights settle into a pattern
Power down - lights flicker out, engine whines down

Headlights triggered on or off from a button on the dash
Steering wheel connected to a potentiometer (?) to control volume
On off switch is the gearshift!

Ben Burtt: "The whoosh of Luke Skywalker's landspeeder was achieved by recording the roar the Los Angeles Harbor Freeway through a vacuum-cleaner pipe."

I even love that the body would essentially be a speaker cabinet.

Not much use from those headlights, you know...pesky Sandpeople coming out at dusk:D Besides that, very impressive array of sounds and effects.
This thing is going to be as fun as the BR Blimp...almost;)

so i can just sit back and watch it as it happen`s now...this is real inspirin work!!!cheers peza:cheers
