Stingray 32 inch master build

This is what will be put under rubber, all tidied up and signed.

Rubbers all on and just letting it go off and do the jackets tommorrow morning.

Nice crisp and clean work.

Whilst waiting for the rubber to go off I thought I'd do a cast of the Ratemaster and lets face it the whole model depends on this being nice and clear. So it is with great joy that I can say its come out dam well, no stickiness and virtually no shrinkage.

Truly a fantastic work!

I remember when I used play with a tiny kit of this in a bath tub.
This is one of the best looking sub ever designed.
And you really nailed it's shape. Great build !!

Parts look great. what did you use?

Polyester resin with matt backing and here are the other cast bits.

These pics show all the parts for Stingray, Note that the Aquasprites will be in clear plastic vac form, Decals will also be included.

This is just fantastic! May I be so bold as to ask will you be producing kits of this? Thanks for bringing back those classic memories!

I may do a vac form cabin. Solid white and Clear as an insert. At the moment I'm refining the "Ratemaster spin mechanism" but heres a short vid showing the first attempt.

Got the decals done and I added the tail fin to see if I could get the Ratemaster assembly in and out without it fouling the back of the tail. And its fine. All servicable.

One of my favorite pupeteer cartoons as a kid. I love this!

Cabin tailfins and conning tower on.

Had the Ratemaster turned in Aluminium and taken moulds of it. Also test fitted the jet, stator tube and short nozzel, Since these were taken I have also fitted the Jet unit so that it can be removed for servicing or replacement.
