Amazing!!
Al-san, how do you fit the big and hollow parts like nose cone onto the hull. Bolt on or screw?
Only one week a year.
Katsu-san. For the cone Im going to screw some blocks of sintra plastic and add another metal pole out and use that to hold the cone up. Which will also help to support the cockpit and route the wiring for all the LEDs .
The cockpit will be fully detailed and lit.
Oh I see. Thanks for the info. Fully lit cockpit will be fantastic. Uuuuumm!!
It is amazing to see how you are building this ship. Some of your design process doesn't make sense to me until I see the finished product, and then I am in awe! You are truly a master of your craft!![]()
missed the pics a page back.......wow it's definitely coming
together now fantastic!![]()
well, it's awesome. if I ever decide to try scratch-building, your threads are on my list of things to study before I begin! Keep it coming, cause I am glued to my seat!![]()
Got a little more done this weekend. got the Pistons fit into the hydraulic housing. And Jasons been working on the lower actuator. also will be molding this part and getting the main engine arm molded this week.

Thanks guys, more coming soon. its really starting to look the part now. will also be building a rolling stand for it. time to move it off the table.
Al
Thanks.
Started molding the actuator and the main engine support arm. Im molding the actuator in Silicone and the engine is an old school ultracal mold. theres no detail its a smooth part so theres no need to waste silicone on this.. just wax the ultracal and lay up the Epoxy glass. the ultracal is great stuff if you take your time with it you can get really great molds that last a long time with no bubbles. heres a bunch pics.
Thanks for looking.

Had a chance to hang out w/ Al in San Antonio and see this beauty up close again. The work is incredible.......the client is a lucky dawg indeed.
