Or once
Looking stunning Al, I especially like your Tamiya box with Primer all over it, I've a few of them myself, its the closest I'll ever get to what your building here![]()
Thanks.
Guy, ive seen your builds. im sure you could build that part.
those boxes are perfect for primer. LOL
Does the heat (temperature) in Texas cause any problems with your build or is your shop climate controlled?
Not really, the only thing that might get a little wonky are the 2 part foam patterns over time, but i just use those to make concrete plugs and they get tossed any way. and the concrete will never shrink or crack. so not really a problem. unless you dont like the heat. and well Texas aint no where near as hot as the Sand box.
Just a quick update. my computer is in for upgrades so the pics are lo Rez.
Started on the pattern for the lower rear wing. the one underneath the tail. and the main hydraulics actuator or what ever its called. it will be printed out.
Thanks for looking.

How much does it cost to have something like this printed out? Its a new world to me but well worth investigating?
Guy, that parts about $60. theres ways to save money by making hollow parts and making the side walls thinner. let me know if you want a part made ill see what i can do for you.
Al
Al what is that huge chunk of medium on the table?
Thats foam covered in bondo. For a vac pattern for the lower rear wings
Whats that sitting on the chair Lol, You get your printer yet Al?, "where does he get those wonderfull toys?" Jack Nicholson "Batman"
Ive got some crazy connections. I knows people.

Man when those 3-D printers come down in price that will be sweet to have one, remember the 1st flat screen tv's when they came out they were about $10,000 to $15,000 grand that was nuts Lol.
Ray, still got a ways to go for good resolution and a decent price. Right now for a good printer its about 30k. Anything under that and theres alot of clean up work and loss of detail.
Formed a part and started trimming still need to form the plating and add the inner wall thickness to it. Heres what i have so far.
Thanks for looking.
