    Aug 25, 2008 - Romulan BoP #1

This is one of my new models I photographed this weekend. It's RELs Romulan Bird of Prey in Studio scale. This model gave me a rather hard time. First model in fiberglass, very brittle and big decals, and a sloppy light leak testing on my side resulted in a building time of several months. But in the end, it turned out quite nice, and that's what matters.

    I hope you like it

Looks great! How did you actually break up the decals? I can't see any seams.

Thanks for your nice comments. I tried to cut the decals along the black lines. You can make them out slightly when you see the model up close, but they are almost invisible in the photographs. Each wing was cut in 3 or 4 pieces.

Well, 1/350 vacuform kit that that I produce is made from the same master from REL and when built, the wingspan is 16.75 inches (approx).

I still have these kits so if people are interested, I could but up a for sale thread in the Junkyard.

I can say as a proud owner myself of one of his great BOP kits; that Scott's kit is fabulous. It's one of my prized pieces. Highly recommended!
