Beyond a holy grail, something that just shouldn't be done due to aloofness, & here it is taking shape before us. Lee, I'm done mate I've had about 2 weeks at home since Jan 10th, so get the kettle on soon mate there's some bits coming your way.

Re: A storm is coming!
Thanks you guys, had a few things going on this weekend so not been able to do much at all.
I did however get a few to fit the lower hull plate today, i needed them removable for painting, so i fitted the plate with four micro self tapping screws into the support ribs, worked very well...though once there ready for a permenant fit, ill CA and screw.....totally solid then. Slowly but surely its taking shape, just cant wait to get to adding some kit parts.....must use restraint lol. lee |

Re: A storm is coming!
I'm missing building mate, I'm only home till Fri morning but I am going on holiday for a week on Sunday but my summer shed isn't as busy as I thought so I should be able to get my teeth into something quite soon. I'm thinking maybe the Y as my next major build but it needs a lot of bits buying & work doing so that might be a WIP? I'm hoping it wont be too long before the shuttle & snow speeder are ready these are the ones I'm really looking forward to. I've got plenty to do though so its all good. The RT is looking better & better mate. I'll get your address again tomorrow or email it & I'll get your stuff off in the post as it wont be till I get back from my hols that I can pop round. Looking forward to it I'll try & bring my X over, it would be ace for someone to see it who knows what it is!!!!!

Re: A storm is coming! Please delete!
I'm bothered.
For the first time that I can remember, moderators have started locking research & build threads in the SSM forum, just because the scratch-builders who started these projects have decided somewhere along the way to make patterns and kit their creations. Happened to Steve's eight year old TIE thread, and Lee's Probe Droid Pod thread over the weekend. Now apparently, as soon as you're actually generous enough to start sharing your work with the rest of the RPF, your reward is that all of your research and build progress threads have to be summarily closed down, apparently without consideration. If this is how it works, I can promise you that even more real builders will do exactly like Lee is doing, take their builds, and all of their corresponding parts discoveries and reference, and kits off-board. If that doesn't bother you too, then I'm afraid you don't really understand the original purpose of this forum. |

Re: A storm is coming! Please delete!
Right you are Kevin, sadly, this is the course im forced to take, for aparently being such a bad RPF'er.
Have i not given to this board, have i not helped and shared finds, which to me, is one of the key elements of SS modeling, im fine going underground, and im fine staying, but the actions over the last day or so, kinda make you feel a bit sick you even bothered in the first place. lee |

Re: A storm is coming! Please delete!
I'm sick of seeing this crap on this site, especially SS. All I'm interested in is building models, relishing others buildups and sharing info/opinions and praises for these outstanding models. Yay to politics!

Re: A storm is coming! Please delete!
Well unless mods can see a wee bit of sense, unlock the threads that got kicked, and give a guy a tiny bit of a break, we can carry on?
All this is all rather silly, as if we really got techical, the Tydirium thread, and threads on the Nice N ATST's and all MR and eFX related threads need to go, oh and that could include Slave One too, so the front page of the SS forum, would get rather bleak wouldnt it? lee |
