Pyro X-wing model quality?

Uh... I didn't mean to cast aspersions on the kit. I thought it was a given that the piece is gold because of its ILM history. I thought everyone understood that that was understood here. The OP asked for pragmatic info about crispness, ease of building etc. compared specifically to the V3, and as requested by the OP I confined my response to those points. As a kit my pyro is slightly more problematic in these areas than the V3 - because of its illustrious history. My engines are not as crisp as V3 engines, but I'm guessing that's down to the long history of these moulds - never said Frank was a lousy caster. And I'm not even complaining about that softness, just answering the OP's questions, but I'm sorry if my post came out terse and ruffled feathers. Me, I'd rather have soft accurate engines than crisp inaccurate ones, so I'm a happy camper. No one's dissing the kit or Frank. I'm as thrilled to have a pyro kit as much as anyone and will be grateful to Frank to my dying day! I could've gone on about all the accuracy joys of the kit but the OP didn't want to hear about that, though I did tell him it was more accurate than the V3. Which makes it the best X replica extant. Praise enough, I'd've thought!
