Hi guys,
I thought you'd be interested in checking this out...maybe trying to ID the parts on it.
It's the original miniature of the Nostromo Detonator room exterior. Ripley is rear-projected into this in the movie.

That is gorgeous! I spy with my little eye some Bandai!
I see Tamiya 8rads, and lots of 1/12 Tyrrell P34 Neil. Anything specific please post ,em up, looks a fun one to nail.

Looks like some Airfix 1/24 Stuka in there as well.

I knew you'd be up to the challenge.![]()
Lots of Centurion too. All the staples.
Bet those are the same Tyrells that provided the lower engine shrouds for the Narcissus.![]()
Wow! These are awesome! Many thanks, Neil!
I love the little Weyland-Yutani decals; I guess they had them made up specially.
I recall Bill writing somewhere that he'd 'break out the Tamiyas' for hero-detailing like this, but there's also a few choice bits of Airfix Scammel Tank Transporter in there. A real favourite of the Brit modelers!
Great Pics Neil, thanks mate.
Great pics. Are you going to post these over on Space 1999 Eagle Transporter - Eagle Transporter Models and Replicas - Home ? Phil Rae & Bill Pearson are members there and will have lots of info on this and the Police cruiser.
Thanks for sharing the pics.
John.
Hi John. Bill has the photos too. I took 'em in his workshop, whilst on Red Dwarf. I'm sure he'll get round to posting them when he gets the time. I'm not a member of Space 1999 Eagle Transporter.
What I like about the Alien models and Pearson/Bower's work generally, is that you can get up really close and the greeblies still look modern or futuristic, whereas with some of the SW stuff a close-up view often takes you away to the 1940s, lol!
That is COOL!
The color is interesting too!
Alien is still probably my favorite movie (more so than Blade Runner). The envy is killing me
They were incredible models they made for that movie.
It seems so long ago that was the way to go.
Great piece! Thanks for posting.![]()
Thank you so much for sharing. I love how so many great reference photos keep emerging, even years down the line.
This has always been one of my personal favorites, I'm thrilled to see all the sides for the first time! Any more Nostromo goodies lurking in your files?
I also find the colour interesting, that and so much of the fine detail gets lost on the screen.
Is the miniature yours Vos or are you working on it for a customer?
top stuff
A few have mentioned the colour.. It was the original colour of the whole Nostromo before the repaint.

I would say the structures on the sides are from Tamiya's Sd.Kfz.232 Schwerer Panzerspähwagen 8-Rad: the rear hullpart with the enginedeck louvres. I bet there would be more parts to find from this kit.

Hi,
The miniature belongs to Bill Pearson. He built it for Alien.
Incidentally, it is going up for auction with Bonhams in November along with some of Bill's other treasures. I think it's this one: Bonhams 1793 : Entertainment Memorabilia
