Not sure anyone can actually help me with an issue I am having with Steve but I figured this is a good thread to post it on. About 3 maybe even 4 years ago I sent Steve a casting of the studio Batwing from the '89 Batman movie. We had talked about making some kits or buildups. Anyway, long story short that never happened and Steve was to send my kit back. We connected several times on the phone and he promised each time to send it within the next few days. Never happened and now he does not respond to email or answer his phone. Today, for the first time when I called his number someone answered and said I had the wrong number. Normally I get the Terminator elevator music before leaving a message. So maybe he has changed his number?
Anyway if some of you are in contact with him maybe you can say it to him. All I want is my model He has had it longer than I ever had it and it was an expensive kit. I don't think I am being unreasonable and I have been very polite and professional with him. Its not like I am waiting for him to finish a kit or make molds or cast something. Just want my kit.
Any help would be appreciated.

Shuttle wings were the issue as the wings kept turning out warped. That was a problem with the resin/process and has now been corrected. Still the shuttle backlog will be fulfilled after the TIE backlog which is by far, the oldest. We're going as fast as we can go. He's only had the completed wing bits for a few weeks.
Steve is a cop. If you have never actually spoken to a cop, give it a shot. You'll learn a plenty! He is a busy guy. When he's not coppin, he's a husband and a part time resin monkey!!!!
Again, no new orders period. My guess is that when the backlog is fulfilled, Steve will be ridding himself of this stuff and letting other guys take over his projects. it's simply too much stress for him anymore.
Propcollector, you need to read Moffeaton's posts a bit more carefully. He's not saying even remotely what you think he's saying. I'm dense and I can see that pretty clearly!
I'll have some more updates to post shortly. I'm dragging my feet, but rest assured Steve is not! I'll update when I get a skinny minute. Be patient with me.

Well, they're still at it, in the form of snarky jokey oblique comments. Sure makes me want to leave for green er pastures, but there aren't any (LOL).
As a friend said on the phone yesterday, pretty soon, the studio scale forum will just be two guys in an empty room talking to each other.
Yeah, that is unfortunately the same with many of our beloved props. I like the old days when we all banded together and built things and patted one another on the backs for great finds, great builds and sharing was the law of the land. The elitism crept in slowly but surely over many years. Sad but true.
People still do share (just be sure to not offend, lest you get a reputation like I now have), and it's all water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned. I have a lot of fun with people (like you) and when someone tries to knock me down, it just redoubles my drive and causes me to dig in deeper. Like a tick.
Plus, I know everyone well enough here, and they know me. We all know how vindictive each other are, LOL!
No offense meant towards any of these fine artists. I'm just calling it like it appears to my sad old eyes. I know people still share. It's just a different world now than it was when this all began so long ago.

Hay jason....everything is good, just get frustrated and read to much into your post. Thanks to you jason and guy and julien frank moes and steve and dave and ralphee and all the other SS guys for making all these SS Models possible, I give my hats off to all you guys.
Okay, back to topic gents. I'll update the backlog ASAP. I just need to pack one box and that will clear another name off the list. Another is expected to clear next week as well.

Tell steve he can send me the molds and I'll cast up my own kits and send em back. No worries.
He'll probAbly have a heart attack laughing but hey if it helps us both out I'm willing and able. Got a baby due in December and need to get this sorted. I know he's a busy man coz I am too and know what it's like. Just a thought.
He tried to call me but I was busy earlier. I'll keep ya posted. I know your stuff is packed up, not sure whether it's hit the mail yet.
