3 posts?
and 15 kits went out?
Im kinda shocked more folks are not posting as they get kits.
Ill have an update on the bsg_viper_info@yahoo.com
tonight or tomorrow.
If you emailed it....you will get a reply.
Yes it takes a while. Ill get to the 127 new emails as soon as I can.
If you dont like waiting for a response, you probably wont like waiting for a kit either. So learn to be patient now. ;-)
No new orders will be taken until the pilot is done. I will add your name to the list in the order of reciept at the account above.
Frank
Well I'll chime in. I just recieved my Viper the other day and WOW what a great piece! The castings are awesome with what looks like very little clean up, great job. The quality of the kit is very impressive.
The only beef I have, and this is very minor, is that for the decals there is some very noticable "stepping" with the graphics. I know this is common with ALPS type printers, but did you guys every try contacting Micro Decals? I believe they do small runs.
Besides that I highly recommend this kit to anyone who is still undecided.

kit #32
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!&# 33;!!!! I got my kit at last!! #26. I'll echo previous sentiments that this kit is awesome. Should be starting it in about a week, just need to finish the MJ viper first, which is just about done. I'll post comparison photos once I get batteries for my camera. Again, thanks to Frank, Moe, and everyone else involved in the kit (sorry if I left out your name). Looking forward to the Mark 7!!!!
Chris
I've never cared for Alps decals either. I was thinking of getting some custom dry transfers done.
Okay, so I pull around the corner tonight and there is this big box sitting out there, exposed on my front doorstep. Mail dorks! So, I try not to get too excited since I have a swack of crappy ebay stuff headed my way, too.
I see the sender's name and know it's from Frank. Our Customs people didn't even mess with the box. I'm very nervous at this point; don't know what to expect but cannot believe the "production" kit could live up to the pics on this forum and elsewhere of the master...
First impression: this box is HEAVY!! Very well packed, everything well protected.
And then I started opening the many bubble-packed bags of parts...
While I heartily agree with all the "wow's" and other comments of joy on this thread so far from others who have received their kit, I promised myself I wouldn't get all misty-eyed and reveal absolute insanity on this post. In fact, I will admit that, right now, I am positively overcome with gushing, wide-eyed admiration for each of the folks who had a hand in developing and marketing this kit. So I'm going to wait until tomorrow, when I've calmed down a little, have another look at the kit parts, instructions, decals, etc. and give a better description of what people can expect.
For now, if any of you are still on the fence, thinking "Man, that would be nice but it is a pretty serious commitment of funds----will I like it?" let me say this:
You know that electrified feeling when you open that one fantastic injection-molded kit of the year or the best that Aires or Black Box has to offer for after-market parts? When you start looking at the sprues thinking "it can't get any better" but the next sprue is even more breathtaking than the one before it?
Imagine that awestruck feeling but with a great big resin bird in your hand that really should not exist because nobody could be that talented and, even if they were, you would fear that you'd get ripped off and never see the thing.
But it's there, right over there on my shelf in all its handcrafted tribute to sheer excellence and the only problem I have is a growing fear that I might not be able to do it justice in the build...

Awesome.
Im glad your kit got there safely.
It builds nice..and its really pretty easy to do.
If you need help, you have everyone around you to give you advice.

Nope. Got my one package of parts for a prop from you Frank, but no Viper yet. Did you get my email about that package?
Steve

It arrived around noon and WOW is it nice ! There is a little travel damage on the top fin (easily repairable) and the inevitable bubbles in several places, but otherwise the kit is beautiful, the base is outstanding and the decals..... !!! Well worth the wait and the money. I'm seriously thinking of getting another with the landing gear package.
Frank, everyone else involved... THANK YOU !!!
I got mine and it's gorgeous - but I have two of the same part when I should have a left and a right!
Eeek!
Still no sign of the viperOriginally posted by BrundelFly@Jun 18 2005, 07:53 AM

Sculptors. Hehe. I've got some sculptor stories. My best one told to me so far was, 'I swear to God, my dog chewed the legs off!'
I'm not on the list. Got here late in the game.
Holy Frack!
Cant begin to tell you my dissapointment when I saw that the sticker/cover art on the box top was put on crooked. It all just ended for me there. Can you say refund?
