Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Yup, right next to the esso tank wagon. I've ordered/won some of the kits required as well as some I have already. Gonna try and nock out the dims and compare them to Martyns Drawings. I'm gonna nock out the fuse in card first until I get it right. Then I'll build the acrylic master for molding. If I can get to my computer this weekend I will start some part maps.

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

You'll want two tank wagons mate. Can't recall the Evening Star but if it is on the list I will confirm it.

Never realised those joins on the piping were kit parts! Also interesting that they rethought the detail on the central band. Some great pics emerging the last few years.

As I said .. I can't confirm it, since I don't have the kit or kitscans ... but the lid from the kit is in that pic... very close to the Narcissus ... so nothing is given ... but I guess it would be worth checking out :)

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

It's not listed. That may not rule it out, and I don't have one to check, so I wouldn't disagree.

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

I recognize some of the parts of the interior from building 2 Studio Scale Battlestar Galacticas. The red Circles indicate parts i know i've seen, (a few are from 1/35 Tamiya 88mm #C25 and more) Check the parts IDs here for more photos here. Resin Illuminati

All the parts i recognize, and in red circles, i have them in resin if you need them!
Hope this helps!

I have a casting that was made of it. I bet you have seen those before though.

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Demoriel ... Thanks for that, I would never have picked the leopold on there. Castings would be great. I was looking over your battlestar pix yesterday to see if anything jumped out. Must be Greeblie heaven around the CR shop.

Thanks! glad i could help. What i can do is gather up what i have from the photos in resin, and let you know via PM/ email pic if your interested? I even might have extra plastic too.

Those Galactica parts ID's are incredible. Sean Corsini put those together in 2008-09, i helped ID just a few of them at the time, but i recognize them all now when i see them.

Dammit!!!!!!......I knew it. The doner that has the smallest most difficult fidly parts to cast , also happens to be the rarest....... And I need 4 of them......bugger. The Sam 2
( I just loaded the kitscan above). Ain't it always the way.

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Ok pretty sure the evening Star is not used on this model. Gonna look at what I can make out on the underside but I'm pretty confident it's not a donor on the Narc.

Sounds great. Well perhaps not. That just leaves another empty space at the list :)

I've already collected a couple of donor kits for this project, and once I've finished a couple of active projects I'll be ready to get started on kit maps and blueprints for this baby

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Cool Niels. I started a couple of maps but really need Photoshop to do it justice so maybe next week I'll put some up. Also started a mock up of the cockpit.

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Any good at sculpting??? I need to do the Ripley Head for the pilot. Even though it looks nothing like her and I've only got the one pic (see first post).

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Secret: sculpting is EASY. Just try it and surprise yourself mate. :)
