Here's the decals that can be used if anyone is brave enough to add even more and replicate details from the full size set piece.

Bloody nice Lee. Um, to be a git, "Auxiliary" is missing an I and you've got "Lanuching Clamp" - are these as per the original or typos?![]()
Thanks :-) They are just typos, I've not done a safety pass yet.
Well then in that case let me repeat "bloody nice", because it is!
I hope I haven't fatally annoyed Paul. We have these small niggly issues with the proportions of the rear hull. I can't get the engines low enough nor the pipes with what we have right now, it's only a 5mm difference or so but you can notice a gap here and an overlap there that you don't get with the original. With all these angled panels, change one thing and you change another three that you didn't want to.
I'm seeing another late night coming up tonight...
Na mate - all good.
I'm as keen as anyone to make sure we can get it as accurate as possible.
Did you get my other emails? I recon a move of 4mm for the pipe is about what is needed. It will effect the mid section, but only a mm here or there.
What's another days work when you consider what we have invested into this project already!.
..and the decals look great Lee - very nice job![]()
just stirring
No actually - they haven't come through. But you mean 4mm outwards, right? That sounds smack in the kind of range I was thinking, yeah!![]()
I should have checked my email before posting that!.
I've sent you a reply Martyn.
Did you still need these Simon?
I just re-did the wings from the best source I had, let me know if you want the vector file.

Nice Lee, you're cooking with gas man.
Paul and I have been nailing down proportional issues. We've altered the length of the twin 'tails' between the engines, the height of the engine seats, angle of the top of the upper engine seat and the location of the 'shoulders' on the waist band, not to mention reworking the rear upper quarter panel length and angle. Among other results the pipe detail fit is now better relative to its surroundings and the engine fit solution is a LOT better...I'm way happier...owe Paul a vote of thanks for being very patient.
Paul's working on the physical proto for the rest of the weekend and I'm sure he'll post some good stuff (hint hint pics pics).![]()
Ooh and love the plaque Lee..... We'll go with yours mate.
Oh ok, well let me know what to change. Then I'll finish it up.
Wasn't sure if this piece had been called out. I don't have a kit in front of me but I'm 99% sure these Shuttle pieces are the ones.
I've also highlighted a piece used twice on the front, that I'm trying to spot. Found a couple of pieces that are close, but not 'it'
I also think the Shuttle external tank pipe is used on the underside section near R2's foot.
My original plan was to use .75mm styrene for the paneling pieces. However my plastic supplier had none in stock and would have to order it in. He did however have some other .75mm plastic, and seeing as though it would be painted (and it was dirt cheap!) I thought I'd go with it.
As the paneling details are so intricate, my cnc router was not really an option. I had the idea of fitting a pen to the cnc and using it as essentially a large plotter to draw the pieces out onto the styrene. I even built a little pen holder from scrap perspex..
The stuff I ended up with is clear/bluish, so it was just easier to trace the printout of the layouts directly on it. I didn't even get to try it out!
Although Martyn and I have made various tweaks to the plans, the majority of the panelling layout remains unchanged.
This exersise hopes to confirm that everything fits as it should.
So far, so good.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...
Still lots to do - stay tuned....
Nice.... Now hurry up and get some primer on it. So are the files ready? Can I have some yet .... Please....
Wow Paul, you're making this whole process look way to easy!
Engine mount modifictions are now done. I still have one other change to make from my discussions with Martyn.
Once that's finished (and if Martyn doesn't have any more changes!), we can sign off on the acrylic layouts
I might need to see if I can get a hold of some of that tubing your using. Did you end up settling on a sourcing for it?
Did you manage to get any casting done this w/e?
Lol - thanks Lee. I can assure you there is a fair amount of blood, sweat and tears behind the scenes!![]()
Not yet mate still working on the layout. Got the Hornby Piers in so not far off. I'll catch up with you this week to make sure my angles are all correct by slipping the cockpit into your model if thats ok. If so i'll start casting it up. I'll bring the nose parts for you also.
oops forgot...Paul i settled on Evergreen 3/16 tube item# 226. Your gonna need 2 packets of this folks.
SUPER AWESOME updates once again everyone !!!
