Nice work there Jason.... I like it. T-shirts.... Hmm now there's an idea. Miss piggy underneath and I'm a Narcissist on the back....... The mind boggles. I may have to change the name of the thread to the Narcissus BUILDERS Club.

The kits are in this thread Phil. There's more to come obviously but they are here. If you can post some new pix I'll ID the kitparts for you and gladly repost them here.
There are 45 kits in total so far. Some are multiples so 32 different kits.

I had a busy weekend, but did manage to block out some decals for the back of the Narcissus. Now these are NOT from the miniature, but what was used on the full size set. Most are tiny, really tiny! And as they were not used on the miniature I'm not sure if anyone will use them. But I think I will :-) I used as much text as possible, but most of the small stuff couldn't be read, so I just made up something.

Nice work Lee. Good luck sticking all those on!
Excellent.... Seeing as we're all Narcisists... You should print our names on the smaller decals.
:-) Yeh I already put mine on there, can't you see it????
I try to put a '223' on most of the projects I work on, my sons birthday is Feb 23rd, thus 2-23
Hopefully Phil's new pics shed some light on the 'real' decals.

Anyone spot the decals used here? Mostly the Yellow symbol next to the Afrika Korp palm tree and the text below it. Looks like part of the decal was rubbed off.

I'll go through the donors when I get in mate.
Thanks,
I'm thinking I need to look closer at the decals sheets from kits that were used on the Nostromo too. So far I'm not finding much from the Narc kits I have. If you can scan any of the more unusual kits that would be very handy.
I just went through my old decal box and found the Palm tree and the symbol to the right of it. The sheet says 1/76 Kubelwagen & sidecar.

Haha thanks! Yeh I would have spotted the WIPER, I was in a rush this morning :-)
Great, that's the palm tree and symbol! I think the actual decal came from the Tamiya 1/35 kit but they are all just slightly different. Plus the decals in the late 70's are almost certainly not the same artwork they use now. I'll take a look at the Kubelwagen!
EDIT: Yeh it's on the 1/35th too, but very slightly different and in white not yellow. Atleast that confirms the shape, I can redraw it from what I have now. Thanks healvis!

Well here's where I'm at. Not final, but ok for now. Thanks to Jason for the JJ logo. My plan is to make 3 versions of the JJ logo as well as a 'handwritten' version of the windscreen marking.

We getting these made as waterslide decals? Please say yes?
Great work on the decals guys, BRAVO !
(BTW, it just occurred to me that the palm tree looked a little like a Nazi fachugger !!!)
Fred
Looking good, Lee. And nice Josie, Jason. I think Narcissus E1 could be 'handwritten' too, though at that size it probably won't be noticeable anyway.
Have you checked the Airfix 1/72 Me 109 for the Eagle? I have it but can't access it atm.
Craig
Yeh it was handwritten and I'll certainly do that version too.
It seems the Eagle is from an ESCI 1/72nd Bf109, working on getting one now.
and thanks Fred, now all I see are Nazi Facehuggers! :-)
Hey guys,
Does anyone here spot any of the decals from this section? They don't seem to be from any of the donor kits (no surprise) so I'm guessing there was a big box of decals at the studio from all the kit parts. Thus I'm guessing it's from some used on the Nostromo. My gut says Airfix 1/24th aircraft but I need good scans from vintage kits.
I took a still from the BluRay (Ironically the best ref of the underside so far) and trimmed it down to the useful part:

I'd be thinking Tamiya 1/32 mesself, maybe the F-14 or F-15. Those red ones look modern, as well as some of the red dashed circles elsewhere on the Narc.
I have an old Tamiya F-14 at home, I'll have a look tonight.
Oh, and BTW I have an Esci 1/72 Bf109 decal sheet in the post. It has the "eagle wing" logo as well as the "winged lion" as seen on the T-42 Skyhopper (Star Wars). Will scan it and measure it when it arrives.
Cheers, JT
Also, the yellow marking to the right of the palm tree is a TAC marking indicating a towed artillery unit. The Hanomag has similar decals, but not in yellow (at least not in the newer issues). It is not specific to the Afrika Korps.
Cheers, JT
Great screencap Lee !
Some of them could be Letraset transfert symbols, they heavily used them on props and sets... so why not here and there on models also ?
Fred
For anyone who doesn't already know they are getting one but are interested in a kit I'm just gauging interest so I can figure out the options for casting the resin parts.
Thanks.
