With the amount of research that was put into these wings, and the results being so spectacularly awesome looking, these are the opposite of "winging it" :lol

Looking forward to your nailing the underside greeblies and skirt, Guy. With the wings looking so good, you're the man for the job. Where were you four years ago? :lol

Thanks Phil really appreciate it mate, just hope I can keep em neat n tidy Cough Splutter (no chance) Welllll they'll look more ILM that way if I drop em a few times!!!! Any questions just fire away bud, I have a few things I've learnt from building these, the main one being I never want to do it again...Nahhhh!

Actually Lee you could swap em out when I place a box full of unbuilt Snowspeeder on a Mic stand at yours LOL and how could I not bring em, I've even got my AT-ST on the bench (homework) ;-)

Thanks Jason, I really appreciate your words, as for 4 years ago " I wasn't invited to the party " :) ...Its my usual way to gate crash at the end and look like i know what I'm doing LOL

Quite a Lot of Flukes there???? :D

Yeah, I think everyone knows what it's like to not get a party invite. Though with the Slave having left a trail of empty wallets and angry people in its wake, you're better off. I had a go, and no one liked the results... Tried our best on that one, and learned a lesson about offering things to people, lol!

You know what, the worst thing that can happen is I end up with a set of Wings mounted like Cow horns on a stand then I'm still the only other set going for now LOL, but I also have learnt that (Like Mike) its best just to do it yourself when possible. You stand and fall on your own merits then.....

However, offering things out is a good thing as I wouldn't have an A-wing or quite a few other things I love, the key is build it first, if it works then let the wine flow. I think with your hulls Jason the excitement overtook the practical side of building it and its Slave 1 like Lee said its cursed. Look at what Mike has done though its beautiful and inspiring. I have a set of his hulls and they are killer. What I want though is to try and get all the stars aligned if I can, as this bird costs Thousands in donor parts, we should never give up and never stop trying..... We have a V 3 Xwing and now the Rodmart X-wing, all because we want to try harder and better.

I need to get some balls and start making bucks (Yes I know Mike, Al) one day I will fill my house with Clay like a scene from Close encounters and BOOM, scrap the bucks and sculpt me a Kelly LeBrock :lol.......

R&D is the key, I have the wings built now (almost and you know what for me the biggest thing is it really does show how much lens distortion there really is to all the photo's we all have, I do mean a ridiculous amount ............. Viva La France :)

Im not surprised the first hull didn't work out, Wasn't it scanned from the FM kit?
And yer Guy you have to always be aware of Camera FoV, Having the EXIF data helps.
Heres an example of the same leg in the same position just focal length changed. Big Difference!

You know whats also cool, you can see why and how the wings have been repaired and damaged over the years as its obvious that these weren't built to last, but under circumstances its a mazing they are as intact as they are still, there are few kit parts I think have sen added for acetic repair!!!! Dilema time...

Also this is this part on one wing but not the other, I'm damned if I can see a pic with glue marks from where its been nocked off or if we ever there. If anyone with good eye site can see this was on both wings let me know as its another Dilema as guessing it was once...Oh what a fool!!!!!

ITs about half an AT-ST high

Tis part is only visible on this wing but if anyone can see proof it existed on the other...let me know?

Its such pain with eye balling but when you have the kit parts its a lot easier, even though those sexy legs of yours have so many parts to use as ref it will be interesting to see how close mine and Lees are to the computer version, as both our legs vary and Lees are def more hairy :)

There just a guide, They help space things out better. Still have to make them the same way you do.
