Lee,may I ask what do you do scribing the new panel line on a resin model,do you sand down the old panel line or putty it?
Sorry,my speaking/pronunciation was off,but who cares as long as you willing to learn right

Don, i understand you just fine mate! OK sand it nice and smooth after removing the small raised details. From there, a healthy coat of primer filler, sand that back in, till you see it all back in resin, and just your panel lines are visible in primer filler
Kinda rinse and repeat till its smoooooooth!
Then, just rescribe your lines, a few of mine are off lol, whoops, but you get the idea.
When scribing resin, use a sharp tool, i used the back of my Exacto, and go very lightly, resin is horrible to scribe, but the back of the blade glides pretty well!
Lee
Ralphee send me your shipping address please.

Looking top-notch, Lee.
Say, can my Y come and play with yours here in this thread? I have some new pics but not worth starting a thread over. In the last pic you can see a mod I did to the mouth. Figured that on the original the lower hull plate hangs down lower at the front and curves up slightly at the sides. So I shoved a 1mm shim in, which opened the mouth more and gave me the chance to build little curves at the mouth corners. It was a risky move as it could've wrecked the profile view and played hell with the whole seam between top and bottom hull pieces but I got away with it, just.
Sorry Steve, missed your post, of course, feel free to lounge about in here.
Thanks Angelhabid, having a couple of weeks off, but ill be back on it soon!
Lee
Cheers. Actually I did get paranoid for a few days there, ha ha... btw, all the wonkiness in those pics is down to the thing being tacked together still, and one of the wing-sleeves having been warped to hell by our punishing summer here, but simple to fix of course.
Summer's ohhh I remember them back in the day, I dont think I've seen a punishing summer since I was 8yr old
OK then, back on this, it seems like a lifetime lol. Not a exciting update, but ive now cut and fitted the internal engine mountings, a boring job, but now, i can have a little fun.
Clean up tomorrow, apertures to be cut, and its about time to start adding kit parts.
Oh, and a cheeky shot of yet another destined for the bench........got my F&M Bwing, so along with that Ion ball thingy, its going to be a busy 2013.

How many models being progress in your workbench?
Probe droid, Snowspeeder, Tuna ship, AT-ST walker, Colud Car, Red 5 and....Tie killer....
Lately, you looks like Julien~
Eric.
Heh, naww, Julien is the master around these parts, im just trying to look busy as not to hang my head in shame.
lee
Hi Lee,got my Tiger II.
Heres the sprue pic,#29
So Lee,may I ask do you have the part yet?
Don
Not yet Don, you lucky guy, TBH, i forgot about it hehe, ill get one purchased this week now my heads back in the Y buddy!
Lee
No major leaps, a few kit parts added, most time was spent working up the alloy wing mount brackets, which just need fitting to the wing now.
Im trying to add as many specific Gold Leader parts as possible, most are now known to me, the few that aren't, ill wing TBH as this is one mainly for a mental paint job, not spot on accuracy.....that said, it wont be a mile off.

Knocked up a new R2 housing today, seeing as the Jammer has the Lanc turret, i needed a socket for an R2.
Keeping with the cheap and cheerful route on this model (yeah right lol) i shaved all the details off Johns pattern, and grafted it over to a new piece of styrene, cut to take a future R2.
A few key Gold leader parts also added here, from the 8rad and 155mm, my centre tubing is a bit thick, but its what i had, and isnt too far out.

Looks pretty cool just like it is, all exposed resin, Plastruct, and kit parts! Still, can't wait to see you get into the paints...
Yea,looking good Lee,no doubt of Lee's build, always looking forward to it
Don
Thanks guys. I actually have a clear booboo on my part, had a part placement Blutacked totally incorrect, all sorted now though lol.
Need to throw a few parts in the rubber today, once i get those cast, i can start working my way back down the hull.
I can see why the detailing on the Y wing could send a guy blind lol, and im not even going for 100% accuracy.
