E-Wing from FM (with go-fasters)
Hi all,
The kit is expertly molded by Frank Cerney, and mastered by Morten Moeslund aka Moe. This is my first post with pics, I hope it goes right... Just thought I'd post this E-Wing I'm doing. It has some added intakes and a rear vertical wing system that reflects the slant of the nose. I'm trying to make it seem more sleek and not cut off in the rear like the usual x-wing. I also reworked the cannons to have some cooling fins and some rod-like additions like the x-wing cannons. I put them on the wing tips to separate them from the engines more than in the original kit configuration. Any feedback is welcome. I'm leaning towards a red color scheme with gray accents. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is without the engines attached, ready for primer |

Re: E-Wing from FM (with go-fasters)
Hi guys,
Here's the latest. Some quick pics taken just now. I finally finished the basic painting and now I have to weather the snot out of it and pick out some contrasting panels - as on the usual rebel fighters. The engines are still not attached and the top gun not added yet. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for looking. Scott P.S. - if any moderators/administrators believe this should be in general modeling, please move it. I put it in studio scale because that's where the previous build/sale threads were found. |

Finished! Took pics near sunset time. Thanks for looking.
(Please help me move this...if you don't think it belongs in studio scale. Thanks) |

Nice Hot-Rod ! It looks like a '60's dragster.

That is just stunning work, you have added just the right amount of were & tear to make it look kind of official. The red look ace & this has really inspired me. cant wait to get mine now.

Re: E-Wing from FM (with go-fasters)
Thanks much Guy. That's a great compliment coming from someone who's done stunning work himself!
I really had fun with this because I wasn't restricted in any way. It was pure imagination and creativity. To keep it in the Star Wars universe was the fun challenge of it. The sense of freedom in working that way was very comforting. No worries... Scott |
