Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
Thanks guys!
I am still trying to ID these parts. I have been through Studioscale.com scans and have not found them yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. a F1 engine has been suggested for the top center part, but not nailed down yet. The cap reminds me of a Howitzer part (Sug. Tamiya 1/35 kit Nos. 35110, 35200, or 35251)? Thanks for looking Edit: I am starting to think that most of these parts are coming from a 1/6 Motorcycle and possibly a scaled Engine (similar to the Visible V8, Mazda engine, etc., but a different model) Last edited by seven; 09-22-2010 at 01:01 PM. |

Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
Just got in my new ellipse domes for the lower half. The original ones that I got just didn't look right, so I went with the thinner version. I think it looks much better.

Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
Quick update...
Scribed some lines (first time), added the little styrene bits, and bondo to smooth out the top (Still needs sanding). I did manage to drop the top section when moving it around and had to re-glue the Saturn parts back on. I tried gluing the 9 Dixie cups together, but the plastic is so flex that it would just break the glue. I tried Super glue and hot glue, no dice on either. So I ended up using Bondo to stick them together. Makes it a lot heavier but it seems to have done the trick, for now anyways. Wanted to see what it looked like primed =) Last edited by seven; 01-21-2011 at 10:39 AM. |

Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
Wow ... awesome project... It is really inspirational again and again to be surprised by what different builders decides to recreate ...
ok .. this piece might not be as sexy as the ISD or MF ... but to heck with that .. it posses the same magic as all the "famous" studio models .. and in the end it is all about capturing that magic Awesome work!!! |

Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
Seven, im doing this on my iphone so forgive if im way off base.
The top crankcase part, looks that from the 1/3 Entex Honda motor, not sure if that would be too big, but certain parts seem to match? Lee |

Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
Really? I am here every day
![]() Thanks Lee for the tip. It does look very similar, I do believe the scale is far too large though. The model part scales in around 40mm in diameter. I have been having a road block on this project as I have not been able to ID the remaining parts. I was thinking that the base was perhaps the Wasp engine (did I mention this earlier? cannot recall...), but it seams too small... Last edited by seven; 01-03-2012 at 03:32 PM. |

Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
I drew up a quick incomplete sketch of the parts that I know and labeled the ones I didn't. Perhaps this may inspire others to join me in this build and help with the part IDs.

Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
This is something I want to build as well. I copied your image there seven and will help look as I can. Not sure on the tips. I looked through some Wilton items and not sure where they would fall.
That top part looks so familiar but can't put my finger on it -James |

Re: Building Endor Bunker Shield Generators
Cake Decorating tips? Have not heard that theory before. I cannot think of any part that they may be referring to though...
![]() To be honest, the original comment about the cups be "Dixie" may be a red haring. I have not found a cup of the Dixie brand to be a match. But I have found other cups (such as Solo) that do. They may have used the term "Dixie" as a generalization than a correct ID. But I could be wrong. |
