Must have cost not a small fortune but a very large one

After waiting for ever for some needed kits to arrive, I was able to finish some more of the underside. I also found a nice vintage beer bottle cap to tuck up under that rail gun part.

THAT looks fantastic! Hell of a job.
this is simply amazing..now I don't know much about the riginal model but i've never really seen the underside of the model and I've gotta say it's peaked my interest more than the top side.
Looks simply incredible!
That is truely one of the most amazing models I have ever seen. The amount of detail is just incredible! Only problem you are going to have is when it is done, filling the void left from not having it to work on
Perhaps next you make a Cylon Base Ship?
I bow before your skill Master.

These studio scale builds are just awe inspiring jaw droppingly fantastic and a pleasure to watch evolve. I only wish I had the in depth knowledge to tackle such a project or the proximity to become an apprentice to one who does
Gorgeous, just gorgeous!!
What a fantastic model you have! A+ first class all the way. The detail is stunning, and it amazing!
I found some news about Glen Larson in Negotiations about making a new movie
or remake for the big screen, apparently it will be a huge budget block buster based on the real BSG and many of the original props and stuff, This would be completely cool, Your ship would be perfect for the studio model, no kidding, Its perfect, just the way I remember it on the ABC series!!!! I think Im going to build some Cylon Raiders! (with out the faces on them )![]()

"Creator Glen A. Larson is in talks with Universal Pictures to bring Battlestar Galactica to the big screen. The film will not be based on the Sci Fi Channel series of the same title; it will be based on the original series which starred Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict and the late Lorne Greene........."

Have you thought about posting some of these pictures over at Colonial Fleets? They would go nuts over it!
Good Lord that's a great bit of work. I've always loved the Battlestar design and the insane amount of detailing they put on it.
You are doing a terrific job re-creating a true classic.

Awesome indeed. Jim is a true master of the big G. I love it!

WOW indeed - still love this spacecraft more then the new one.
..I just received my dvd "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" Wide screen 2 DVD set with a full disk of special features!, I have already watched it twice in a row today, You are right, The battlestar Galactica (not to be confused with the Sci-Fi channel program of the same name) Blows the doors (or pressure hatches) off the Sci-Fi channel version. It is a real studio prop, not some lame low-budget CGI animated cartoon, This model is so incredible .... I was watching the Cylon raiders attacking the Galactica from all angles on the DVD, and WOW! This Model is RIGHT ON! Please post more pics....I cannot wait to see more!
Bring back battlestar Galactica!
Holy mother, that is seriously bad ass!!!
Completed the underside and the entire engine section.
I'v done my best to return the number of parts that have been lost over time on the studio model.
