uhhh....that's like more than my house is worth....and it's appraised at 500k.........I think I'll take my house. Unreal what these things go for.
Even if I were extremely rich I cant see myself paying that kind of money for any prop, model or any other related item. Unreal...
Anybody know if the Enterprise A's at Planet Hollywood are the same scale as THE A?

If you own a sci fi museum you would.
The good part is where these are going, they will be on display for everyone to see...And I do believe they are headed for Seattle....

Is there any way to know who bought them yet? I mean we all think he bought them, hope he bought them.
<div class='quotetop'>(Ketzer.com @ Oct 9 2006, 08:36 AM) </div>Tim, my understanding is the PH model is a copy of (or the original) the one Brick Price made for TMP. I think it's only about 4 feet long. Best as I can recall. . .Anybody know if the Enterprise A's at Planet Hollywood are the same scale as THE A?

The most important thing regarding Paramounts selling of these pieces is that they will now be carefully cared for and hopefully placed on display for public viewing. They will no longer be mistreated...well.. hopefully...![]()

Thanks.
I think there is a model from Phase2 at the one in NY, and the PH in London has one that looks like the one that was sold. But i believe it is smaller...

Kurt,
There is a thread on this model here:
http://www.starshipbuilder.com/forum...ead.php?t=1193
It's not really the "Phase II" as that project was started and never finished. Word has it the actual Phase II model was built by Don Loos (IIRC). This model was built by Brick Price. It basically looks like the TMP final design but with the Phase II nacelles, so it is a strange "hybrid" miniature. It's about 4 feet long, or 1/2 the size of the final TMP filming model.

When I refinanced, my house was valued almost double that!, (and that's a generous almost).
I could sell my house,....buy the 1701-A, and move us into a tiny apartement where we would live happily ever after!
As crazy as that sounds,.....God, do I love that model,.....though I think I'd only part with scratch like that for the 1701 Refit from TMP.
We'd still live happily ever after. Small apartments come with a car-port y'know. I could live in that and give the "A" the apartment.
Is that weird?
Don'tjudge me. Any of you would do the same. :P

Last I checked, the Las Vegas PH had one of these. I have a series of photos of it. The detail on it is NOWHERE NEAR what you did on the DeBoer Hulls kit. Yours could be used on screen; the PH models really couldn't...
Thanks guys!
I had always thought the Phase II was supposed to have had the original 1701 dish?...guess not..lol.
Man that Phas II shuttle bay is freakishly weird to my eyes.
I had seen this prop while in vegas also but figured it was just a large vacformed model with very little surface detail .had no Idea it was a real prop from the proposed show.

No...not Cali...the northeast in Delaware...believe me when we bought it new 5 years ago it was 250, but the housing boom went friggin' nuts around here like everywhere else. Nearly nobody in our neighborhood could afford to "re-buy" our houses now![]()
I look at it as "supplemental income" someday when I'm retired.
I wonder if I could get a home equity loan to buy the MR Falcon

Sadly,
$500,000 wouldn't buy you much of anything but a shack where I live (Santa Cruz, CA).
