Re: 3 foot Star Destroyer WIP/update 11/18/11
Next I continued working on the rear of the bridge neck. I still need to do some cleaning up. I don't like the primer I used it goes on too thick. Not to mention I accidentally mashed one of the long pipes running down the back, so I have to fix that as well.

Re: 3 foot Star Destroyer WIP/update 11/18/11
After breaking for the holiday, I decided that I did not like the rear section of the bridge neck. So I started to rebuild it. I also made the light in the garbage shoot brighter. I still have some more work to do on this section, but this is what I have so far.

Re: 3 foot Star Destroyer WIP/update 12/2/11
A little more detail added to the base of the bridge neck. Progress has been slow.

Fantastic looking build mate. Just went through and saved all of your pictures for later reference, as I'm looking to *hopefully* one day build myself one of these.
Your attention to detail is utterly fantastic, keep up the fantastic work. And nice snowspeeder you made in only two days! |

Hey thank you for the comments! I have more pics of the model comming shortly. Thanks for the comment also about the snowspeeder, however, there may have been a misprint somewhere because i built it in 2 months, not 2 days. I WISH I could crank em out in 2 days!

Back to work! running fiber optics in the bottom hull and superstructure. I also ran some more fiber optics in the bridge.

Re: 3 foot Star Destroyer WIP/Update 2/26/12
Thanks for the comment Rick, yes I am glad I decided to finish this build. It has proven to be a little more difficult than I anticipated, but its coming along. I wish I had more time to work on it though!

Re: 3 foot Star Destroyer WIP/Update 2/26/12
A shot of the bridge with all fiber optics now run. I only need to run a couple lights on the sides and rear of the bridge.
Also another look at some of the fiber optics on the bottom. Sorry the pics aren't very good. |

Re: 3 foot Star Destroyer WIP/Update 2/26/12
I found these crystal neclaces at cvs pharmacy, They have the correct pattern for the shield generator domes. With a little paint and detail they will work nicely.

Re: 3 foot Star Destroyer WIP/Update3/5/12
I cleaned up the detail on the bridge a little and replaced some previous parts with more accurate ones. Its still not accurate, but it looks better!

Mate, looking most excellent indeed. How are you going to paint the crystal balls so the paint doesn't flake off ?

Re: 3 foot Star Destroyer WIP/Update 3/7/12
I lightly sanded the crystals with a very fine grit sand paper. Then im going to add the detail and then primer and paint. Thanks for the comment!
