A project that I have been working on lately, my first venture into airbrush/bodypainting with the aid of another local makeup artist and another propmaker who made the magnificent bow and arrow.

Our model Joanne is 5' 11" and very slim so she was perfect for this makeup. Took approx. 5 hours in total because I ran into some problems with the airbrush so some of it was handpainted.

Very happy with the results although I would probably use a slightly lighter blue mix for the stripes next time. I know the costume and accessories are not exactly 100% accurate but it was more about the makeup really.
4) Consistency for multiple copies

Cons:

1) Cost
2) cannot do bevelled cuts?

Would love to hear from those that own machines or have used them for pepping foam. Do quote the models used as well as the price if possible to provide a sensing, thanks!

So, after some creeping on the forums, I've decided to undertake a modeling project. I play Warhammer 40k, among other wargames, and would like to have a great looking set of terrain to play on. After seeing some great terrain at a big tournament, I decided to go with some to-scale models of some of the buildings in Jurassic Park.

This is also my first big project with styrene sheets, so critiques / tips are encouraged.

To start, I made the raptor cage from JP 1, in the opening scene. Found some great reference pictures online, and ended up with this:

After seeing that turn out so well, I decided to start on the big project: The full raptor enclosure. This will probably be the centerpiece of the table, and has a lot of nice walkways and stuff to be a functional piece of war-gaming terrain. I've got the front entrance started, and here it is:

So, comments / critiques are awesome and encouraged, and if you've got any reference stuff, that'd be great as well. Enjoy!

I came across this article that showcases technology that would allow for lit eyes with full/nearly full visibility. I guess I have been unhappy with the slit method, mesh method, or otherwise. What do you guys think--will this be forever before this tech is accessible?:confused

After getting stung by the costume gods, I decided to purchase the Scarlet Spiderman Printout from TrophyWife. I couldn't resist the sale.

I am currently in the process of building the ankle holder and belt. This is just a rough sketch, but hopefully what I envision in my head will play out right.

I've seen others, but I've always wondered if it was actually functional. Some I have seen are just for looks, while others I cannot tell.
I am making mine so it can fit at least 6 or more ID/Visa, MasterCards/Misc. items while I wear it. Let alone, it would help for my other costumes.

I am probably going to make the "sealer" button a tiny spiderman logo, but might change as it might be TOO MANY spiders. Will update as I go, but so far, I will probably work on the accessories. These are just sketches so it may change haha

So what do you guys think?

Hey guys,

With the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and the 30th anniversary of the original Mirage comics happening in 2014, I figured the hype would help get some attention towards getting a long deserved special edition\directors cut of the original 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

This petition is to get a full special edition/directors cut release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. There have been several DVD/Blu-ray releases, but we are yet to see any deleted scenes or anything that would be considered special features. There are scenes portrayed in the comic book adaptation of the film that were filmed, that are not included in the theatrical release. We have seen behind the scenes photos of extended scenes and scenes that were in the original script that have clearly hit the cutting room floor for either censorship or time management. But they were filmed and every good Turtles fan should want to see them!

Petition - Petition Special edition/directors cut release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the movie

Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/specialeditiontmnt

Please visit the Facebook site for information on what is known of deleted scenes and the alternate ending, as well as putting forward any info you have yourself or give it a like and share it with like minded people who would love to see this come out!

Please sign the petition and share it around. It is time the fans showed how much they want\deserve a proper release of this film!

Regards
Allegedly it is an off-the-shelf 1970's portable radio painted yellow, but I can't find a good matching radio.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking of getting a Terminator jacket to use as a riding jacket, and I came across this site which offers free worldwide shipping.

But I'm confused with their listing. They have two listings for what seem to be the exact same jacket. Any one has any idea if there's any difference between the two?

Listing 1: Terminatorr Leather Jacket | Terminator Motorcycle Arnold Schwarzenegger Jacket

Listing 2: Arnold Terminator 2 Jacket | Judgment Day Jacket

Any suggestion on other better sources for this jacket would also be appreciated.
